In this Webinar, we will explore the elements of a spirituality of non-violence, prayer and peace. Drawing from ancient traditions of non-violence and the person of Jesus, we will discover the essential elements of active non-violence and peacemaking.
Presenters: IHM’s; Judith Bonini, Joan Kusak and Elizabeth Walters
Joan Kusak, IHM, has also served in campus ministry, pastoral ministry and teaching ministry. After spending five years on staff at River House, Sr. Joan serves as a spiritual director in her retirement.
Judith Bonini, IHM is a spiritual director currently on staff at River House – IHM Spirituality Center. She brings passion and compassion for accompanying others in their spiritual quest, open always to finding God in new and surprising ways.
Elizabeth Walters, IHM is a retired schoolteacher from Detroit’s inner-city school. She is a member of Covenant for Peace and Michigan Faith and Resistance. A major focus of Sr. Elizabeth’s present-day peace work is to integrate personal and societal peacemaking and to promote the Spirituality of Nonviolence.
