Thomas Merton once described Fr. Alfred Delp as a “mystic” and counted Delp’s writings among the most profound Christian meditations of our time. Delp’s Advent reflections, written during his final imprisonment while awaiting execution for resisting Hitler and Nazism, are especially moving.
They invite readers into self-discovery, repentance, and renewal, opening the way to a deeper encounter with God. They also encourage Christians to reclaim Advent as a season of meaningful preparation for Christ’s birth. The morning will include presentations, prayer, personal reflection, and thoughtful conversation.
