From the peace-filled and breathtakingly beautiful Motherhouse Chapel to the IHM campus itself, sacred spaces open to the public abound. We encourage spiritual seekers to join us on your journey.
The IHM Motherhouse Chapel is a center of spiritual life for the IHM community and a place for prayer for area residents. Visitors to the Motherhouse are welcome to stop in and let this sacred space enfold them.
Unlike a maze, designed to confuse, the labyrinth is designed to quiet the mind and heart. As it has been throughout history, it is a path for prayer and meditation, a place of presence the Creator and the created.
In addition to being an IHM Spirituality Center, River House is also considered one of the Monroe Campus’s sacred spaces. Located on the banks of the River Raisin, across from the IHM Motherhouse, River House is a stately brick home offering spiritual enrichment for seekers of all faith traditions.
At the IHM Motherhouse, Scala is located near the congregation’s Liguori Library. Spiritual seekers will find it to be a peaceful place, offering creature comforts, but more importantly, offering soul-expanding enrichment.
