Jane Herb annual reportSister Mary Jane ministered as a teacher at Marian High School (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and Regina High School (Harper Woods, Mich.) before becoming principal of Our Lady Star of the Sea High School (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.).

She worked as regional director for the Archdiocese of Boston before becoming the superintendent of schools for the Diocese of Albany, New York, a position she has held for 15 years.

Sister Mary Jane holds a bachelor’s degree in math from Madonna University (Livonia, Mich.), a master’s degree in education from Wayne State University (Detroit) and a Ph.D. in education from Boston College. She was born in Detroit and graduated from Ladywood High School (Livonia, Mich.).
