Marianne Gaynor, IHM


Mission Councilor/Vice President

GAYNOR MARIANNESister Marianne holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Marygrove College (Detroit), a master’s degree in early childhood education from Oakland University (Rochester, Mich.) and certification from Rocky Mountain Healing Arts School (Boulder, Colo).

She has ministered as a teacher at schools in Illinois, Missouri and Michigan and as a pastoral associate at Our Lady Queen of Hope Parish in Detroit. As a self-employed certified massage therapist, she has also served at St. Mary Human Potential Center in Monroe, Mich., and at centers in Oakland County.

She served on staff at Visitation Spirituality Center in Monroe and later served as the database manager for the IHM Development Office for nearly 10 years. This was followed by ministry at Marygrove College as the Alumni Giving and Program coordinator.

Prior to her election to the IHM Leadership Council, Sister Marianne served as a staff guardian for Compassionate Companions Inc. and Monroe County Guardian in Wayne, Monroe and Macomb counties since 2009.
