Vickie Mazur, IHM Associate

Vickie Lynn (Kuhl) Mazur, age 69, of Maybee, passed away from complications of diabetes and kidney disease on Friday, March 15, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Vickie was the daughter of Anita Mae Griffith and Calvin Lee Kuhl of Monroe. She was born on May 10, 1954. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1972, where she met the love of her life, Harry (Bud) Mazur. They were married at Christ Lutheran Church on April 16, 1977.

Together they built a family of 4 beautiful daughters and 4 grandchildren. Kourtnie (Joseph) Boncher of Monroe, Emilie (Lloyd) Conner of Monroe, Hollie Mazur of Monroe, and Marysia (Korey) Wichowski of Ft. Riley Kansas. Her grandchildren Virgil, Jaxon, Alivia, and Lilly will remember their time spent with their beloved Nana. She is also survived by her brother Martin (Karen) Kuhl of Bedford, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and siblings-in-law.

She spent most of her life in service to others in many different roles. She was a branch manager at a local bank, the executive director of Heartbeat of Monroe, organizer of the St . Joe/St Paul Vacation Bible School, a Daughter of St. Francis De Sales, and an associate of the Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. She was also a member of the Christian Mother’s Guild and St. Therese Quilting Society at St. Joseph Church Maybee. Most of all, she was Mom. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones at her children’s activities, family Sunday dinners, and cookouts.
