A self-taught artist and Michigan State University alum, Bergmooser is the founder of PRESLEYMADEIT, a live art and mural studio specializing in weddings, corporate activations, public art, and community-centered projects. Her work has reached audiences through live events, public murals, and social media, where the visibility of her process has sparked both admiration and criticism. In her first solo exhibition, Performative, Bergmooser returns to her hometown of Monroe to reflect on the assumptions placed on her work, image, and identity. Reclaiming the very gestures once dismissed as attention-seeking and reframing them as evidence of authorship, authenticity, and idea that it’s just not that serious.
