Sunday, November 22
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Location
IHM Motherhouse
This year, the traditional holiday season opens with the performance of Handel’s Messiah.
What comes to mind when you think of a chapel—a small, quiet space for prayer? For nearly one hundred singers, drawn from local talent, performing Handel’s Messiah last November was an awe-inspiring experience. Many had never been inside and were amazed by its grand size and beauty, which enhanced their musical performance. On November 22, the Baroque oratorio returns to the Motherhouse with John C. Tyner conducting the Monroe Community Chorus, Orchestra and Soloists.
The concert is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be collected for the benefit of the performers and the IHM Chapel Concert Series.
Join us for these outstanding performances by some of Monroe County’s finest musicians and vocalists in the county’s largest worship space.
