Wednesday, February 26 - Sunday, March 1 12:00 am Joyfully Serving a Bountiful God - IHM Motherhouse

The retreat, “Joyfully Serving a Bountiful God” is facilitated by Rev. Gil Enderle, CSsR. It begins at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday and concludes at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

As we begin this Lenten season, we enter together into a wonderful time of prayer and reflection. In this retreat, we look to Scripture and the spirituality shared by the IHM and the Redemptorist communities as we create more expansiveness in our own lives and deepen our relationship with God.

Suggested offering is $250 and includes lunches ($50 due at registration).

Tuesday, March 10 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm Praying with IHMs

All are welcome to attend “Praying with IHMs” on the second Tuesday of each month through May, from 6:30–7:30 p.m. in the Motherhouse Chapel. The prayer experience will be one of quiet reflection, prayerful song, Scripture readings and intercessions. All faith traditions are welcome as we join in community in a form of contemplative worship that reflects our common desire for peace, justice and harmony in our world today. Sunday, March 22 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm Concert Pianist Jim Hendricks

Jim Hendricks has worked with such legends as Dave Brubeck (piano duets), Della Reese, Rita Moreno, Maynard Ferguson and many others. He has performed more than 1,400 Christian piano concerts in churches throughout the country, including several appearances at the former Crystal Cathedral. He has made 14 piano recordings, performed on ABC, CBS, TBN and PAX, wrote the book Contemporary Arrangements for Today’s Church Pianist. A free-will offering is requested. Rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to beautiful music, the goal of the Detroit Song Collective (DSC) is to reach out to audiences and young talent in the greater Detroit community, sharing important pieces of music. By bringing quality musical performances to the community and designing outreach programs to assist the development of talented and motivated young artists, DSC will enhance and enrich the lives of its audiences and students. Sunday, May 10 - Friday, May 15 12:00 am Embracing Struggle: Walking in Hope with Teilhard de Chardin - IHM Motherhouse

The week-long retreat, “Embracing Struggle: Walking in Hope with Teilhard de Chardin,” will be presented by Kathy Duffy, SSJ.

The call to embrace struggle is not an act of resignation but a commitment to life in its fullness. In this retreat, we walk with Teilhard de Chardin – Jesuit, scientist, mystic – and explore the struggles he faced, especially in the world and Church, and prayerfully reflect on our own life experiences. More information about the retreat sessions will be forthcoming.

Sunday, June 14 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm Madrigal Chorale Concert

Madrigal Chorale has a rich history of choral performance and community service dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. It has performed under the baton of world-renowned conductors in venues across North America, including the White House and National Cathedral in Washington D.C., Old North Church in Boston, and Carnegie Hall in New York City.
