Join IHM Sisters for a 3-day retreat focused on the Season of Advent.
Where: Maxis Community Room, IHM Motherhouse, 610 W. Elm Ave., Monroe, MI
Description: Confusion, questions, discouragement, worry, chaos, gloom and turmoil- these are realities we might find ourselves in today. As faithful disciples, as women religious, how do we respond? Because of God’s promise, we are gifted with hope – no matter the circumstances. Because we are made in God’s image, we are called to be hope- to others and to our world in all ways. Hope sustains us through hardship, inspires compassionate action and helps us navigate the unknown with courage and trust. During this time together, we’ll explore possibilities for our response in everyday living. Let’s rediscover hope as a steady anchor. Whether you are facing personal struggles or today’s global challenges, we invite you to embrace and celebrate the challenge of hope with us.
Facilitator: Janet Schaeffler, Retreat Director
Janet Schaeffler, OP, an Adrian Dominican Sister, has devoted her life to catechetical ministry, serving in both parish and archdiocesan roles—including as Director of Adult Faith Formation for the Archdiocese of Detroit.
