Ribbon cutting ceremony

Guests, local officials, apartment residents, family members, staff  and Senior Living Community Board members were on hand to witness the ribbon cutting for the nineteen residences which are part of the IHM Senior Living Community. President Jane Herb, IHM and Miklyn Halcomb of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce presided over the ribbon cutting.

Apartment residents greeted the guests with the song, “Holy Spirit, Thou Art Welcome.” Jack Schwaub, one of the apartment residents, accompanied the singers on guitar.

Teresa Davis, Director of Sales and Marketing for the IHM Senior Living Community, thanked everyone for coming to celebrate and invited all present to tour the apartments. Attendees enjoyed an array of delicious appetizers and tempting desserts in the Bistro, which is adjacent to the Cloisters restaurant. The Cloisters’ Signature Drinks for the occasion were, “Vespers Blue Martini” and “Virgin Sparkling Cosmos.”

The nineteen new independent living apartments are part of the IHM Senior Living Community, which is a life plan community. The IHM Senior Living Community provides complete accommodations for aging with grace – that means independent living with the confidence that if more advanced support is ever needed, it can be provided onsite in the heart of our community. In addition to attractive, well-appointed independent living apartments, compassionated person-centered services for rehabilitation after illness or injury, long-term care and the full spectrum of skilled nursing, including memory care, are available.

Currently, fourteen of the nineteen apartments are occupied. If you, or someone you know, is interested in learning more about the apartments or would like a tour, please contact Teresa Davis, Director of Sales and Marketing at 734-240-8230 or tdavis@ihmslc.org.
