Mary Magdalene
October 28, 9:30am-12:30pm

Annemarie S. Kidder, PhD, IHM Associate, is our presenter.

Mary Magdalene is central in the resurrection stories of the Gospels.  As the “apostle to the apostles,” she is the first to announce Jesus’ resurrection to the disciples.  She is part of Jesus’ inner circle.  And she seems to rival Peter in her grasp of Jesus’ teachings.  This program will explore the biblical portrayals of Mary Magdalene, interpretations regarding her position among Jesus’ followers, and later developments in the history of the church, including her veneration.  (Suggested Offering: $25)
