Growing Seeds of Change

boy blowing seedsOn Tuesday, Jan. 30, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Maxis Community Room at the IHM Sisters’ Motherhouse, information regarding immigration will be presented.

Attracta Kelly, OP, the director of the Immigration Assistance Office of the Adrian Dominican Sisters, will give the most up-to-date information on immigration policy (including the status of the DREAM Act). Participants will explore concrete ways we can move together from education to meaningful action.

This presentation is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

This is a follow-up to the July 18, 2017 “Sowing Seeds of Empathy” and the Nov. 14, 2017 “Growing Seeds of Hope” immigration educational events.

“Growing Seeds of Change” is sponsored by the IHM Sisters, Adrian Dominican Sisters, Monroe County Community College, Monroe County Opportunity Program, Monroe County Positive Action Network, Monroe Vicariate Hispanic Ministry and the Southeastern Michigan Migrant Resource Council.
